Fun and Furry Neighbors

We are pretty settled in to our new home now.  On with the projects!!  (Okay, maybe we'll wait on those until after the baby is born.)  In the meantime, we've been spending lots of quality time on our deck with friends and family meeting our furry neighbors.

This chair is just my size!

Wait a minute, my reflection seems to have changed....

Julian is always soooooo entertaining!  We love him!

Waiting to see if the balloon will lift more than just my hair.

Eagle eye.

Naptime.

Bambi is welcome in our yard anytime.  (See, Chris, it really is Disneyland!)

A friend visits right outside our kitchen window.

Hi there!

Bubbles and Cupcakes!

We had some really nice weather this past week, and so it was imperative to bring out the bubbles!

Naturally, I insist on doing everything myself now.

This is a delicate procedure.

I love bubbles!

You love bubbles too, don't you?

Of course you do!

Bubble-blowing lawnmowers are the coolest ever, especially when they're pink!  Hey, even the deck needs a good trim!

And now, the bubble wand!

Again, Miss Independent.

Look!  The bubbles went up there!

There they go!

I still see them!

For Daddy's birthday, I made him my most favorite treat EVER... CUPCAKES!!!

Step one:  Lay out the cups.

Step two:  Mix it aaaaaaaall up!

Hmm... it sure does smell good.

I'd better make sure it's a-ok for my dad!

Step three:  Fill the cups with batter.

Step four:  Wait for the ding!

Step five:  Frost the cupcakes.

It's very important to taste-test the frosting as you go.

Look!  Daddy's home!!!

Step six:  Hurry up with the sprinkles!

Step seven:  Show off your completed masterpiece!

And last, but definitely not least, step eight:  Enjoy the heavenly result!

Oh, that's right, you can have one too, Daddy!  Happy Birthday!

Delish!

I must admit...

...we feel a teensy bit spoiled.  We spent Mother's Day moving in to our new home in Anacortes.  Granted, the house will need some updating, but the view is pretty much perfect as-is.
