July was a super-busy, super-fun, jam-packed month! The title of this post should read, 4th of July, The Lucas Family Visit, The Great Strides Walk, Alli Turns 5, Boating, and Crabbing, but that was a tad too long. Just take a look!
We had a great time at Tiffany and Mark's house on the 4th of July. Alli, clad with earplugs, dove into the noisy pop-it action!
Avery, on the other hand, wanted nothing to do with the noise and preferred to hang out in the back yard.
Katelyn and Alli have such a good time together!
Avery was too busy to play!
A boatload of kids!
Lila, Katelyn, and Alli.
The girls were all giggles!
My FAVORITE part of the party, however, was the signage that Chase, age 6, had been delegated. :)
(I love how he spelled this one correctly.)
Wait, who could that be? It looks like Lisa! It is! It is! Lisa, Russ, Ashtyn, Maverick, Jax, and Cullen came and stayed with us for a couple of days!
These kids have gotten SO big!
Ashtyn and Alli, so cute together!
We took them to Washington park to get some wiggles out.
Russ needed to get some wiggles out, too.
Ashtyn, you are welcome to move in anytime! ;) These two adore her!
Cullen, the Cute.
Cold!
Mom, leave us alone, will you?
Reunited, at last! It had been too long!
Russ!
Busted. :)
Bust a move!
Game time!
Playing at the beach on Guemes Island! We took the 5-minute ferry ride over, sharing Cullen's first boat ride!
Such a fun visit! We miss you already!
Mike will just have to catch the lovely Lucas family next time.
The ferry ride back.
Cullen.
Jax.
Maverick.
Ashtyn.
They could be sisters!
All six kiddos together. So much fun!
So sad to leave. :(
Peek-a-...
...boo!
Maverick left a sweet message for us. :) Mike was very disappointed to have missed out on a great visit.
We signed up Alli for Peewee Sports Camp this summer. This girl rocks the bowling shoes!
At first she was hesitant.
But after awhile...
...she had it all figured out!
Great Strides Walk, July 12th, 2014. All ready to go!
Avery's (Awesome) Army!
Getting ready to walk!
Kristin and Ian, getting all warmed up.
Mia.
Aunt Emily and Grandpa.
The Fabulous Konicheks, Tony, Mary, Mia, and sweet baby Leo.
Cutie-patootie!
The Amazing Nysoes, Tyler, Laura, and Julian.
Too cute!
Mamo and Gma.
Jennifer, Aunt Tiffany, and sweet baby Gabby.
Uncle BJ, Aunt MJ, and sweet baby Julia.
Aw.
Chase and Landon have this whole walk thing all figured out.
Sue, Curt, and Kristin.
Greg's here, too, pulling Ian out of the grass;)
Off we go!
At the conclusion of the walk, we were announced the top fundraising team at over $5,300! Next year, we hope to hit $10,000 once again!
After the walk, we headed over to Mamo and Papa's house in Lake Stevens for Alli's 5th birthday party. She requested a princess castle cake this year.
Of course, since Uncle BJ and Alli share a birthday, I had to make him his own prince cake. ;)
The birthday girl!
If you look closely, you will find three daddies with a bubble wand in one hand and a beer in the other.
Mia thought that was just a bit ridiculous.
Bubbles!
Gabby had the right idea and avoided the 95+ degree heat!
Oh, you want the ball, do you?
(Insert evil laugh here.)
Ian knows how to have a good time.
Mary and her mini-me.
Such a great picture of two great guys!
Such a happy birthday!
Landon, Chase, Mia, and Alli.
The big 5-year-old!
The big (you're how old) birthday boy!
Thank you to everyone who came and celebrated with us! We love you all!
Silly sisters!
Look who's captain!
Wait, who's that with us?
Julian and Auntie Laura!
A pirate ship!
All Julian needs is a captain's hat!
These guys like to hang out in the marina.
Can you say, "Otter pops?"
Back on the ferry to Guemes Island. This time Willy came, too!
We LOVE treasure hunting on this beach!
True to form, Avery dove right into the sand.
Fetch, Willy!
Good boy!
Back to the boat to do some crabbing! Look, the mama seal is taking a break...
...with her napping baby!
Did we catch any crab?
Yes! Mom is HAPPY!!
Peewee Sports Camp: T-ball
She's a natural. :)
Notice Mike in the field (on the right)? He ended up helping out for the entire hour, making sure that the batters didn't nail the other kids.
Naturally, Alli found the pink bat. :)
Coaching tips from Daddy. :)
One...
Two...
Three!
Up to bat!
Alli had so much fun and can't wait to play t-ball in the spring!
Aunt Tiffany, Uncle Mark, Chase, and Landon came over to go crabbing. The guys took the big kids out to check their catch!
Look who's driving!
They brought back 18 crab! Wow! We must get a closer look.
Yum!
Such good crabbers. :)
Julia came up to visit, too!
Such sweet cousins!
After a fun night of crab and cards, we, once again, took the ferry to Guemes Island. Yes, their dogs came, too. :)
More treasure hunting!
Jackpot!
Hi, Aunt Tiffany and Peanut!
Hi, Landon!
Avery tells Landon how ferry boats work. :)
We must be aware of the rules!
What a fun July!
