Still Getting Bigger

Alli is growing so quickly!  She loves reading books, pushing buttons, and walking (running) all over the house.  Crawling just isn't coming naturally for her, but Alli is perfectly happy right now just holding on to some grown-up fingers and taking off!  She's extremely curious about everyone and everything, and just today leaned right over and flipped off a light switch.  Boy, was that fun over and over and over again. :)

You just gotta read this book that Uncle Chris gave me!  I give it two thumbs up!

The Next Stevie Wonder?

We have yet to catch it on video (because we're not sneaky enough), but Alli has really taken to her little piano.  Not only does she sing while she plays, she sways back and forth like Stevie Wonder.  This girl feels the music!

Since we were getting new carpet on Monday, Mike's brothers came down over the weekend to help tear out all of our old carpet.  (Thanks, guys!)  Here they are, men at work.  Actually, I'd like to steer your attention to the vent hole in the floor, just behind Rick and underneath the window.  See it?  Well, so did Rick's cell phone.  Yep, in fact, it took a grand ol' slide down the duct work as it fell out of Rick's pocket.  Oops.

Lucky for Rick, Mike was able to fish it out.  Chris decided to make sure that Rick didn't lose it again.  Yet another handy use for duct tape. :)
