A Rock Star, Field Trip, and Halloween

I apologize for falling behind AGAIN.  Since the beginning of September, we have battled many head and sinus colds that keep eating up my time and energy.  We are looking forward to a healthy Thanksgiving this week!  In the meantime, let me fill you in....

Alli loves going to preschool and is slowly coming out of her shell.  Her vocabulary and verbal skills amaze us daily, and we love the funny things she says!  Recently, she and Mike were playing hide-and-seek.  She couldn't find him and hollered, "Dad!  Do you know where yourself is?"  Alli is loving drawing, coloring, and painting and gets very excited when she interprets her artwork.  "Mom!  I drew a foot!  I drew an R!"

Avery talks all day long, just like her sister, and doesn't let her limited vocabulary slow her down.  She is very good at communicating exactly what she wants (handing me the remote and bouncing up and down when she wants music turned on, or leading me into the kitchen, grabbing a bowl from the drawer, and pointing to the pantry when she wants Cheerios), all while babbling away.  Everything is funny to her, and she gives the best hugs and kisses!

We dusted of Rock Band, and Alli found her calling.

She's got the eye of the tiger.

I'm killing it!

Can I play, too?

Ooh, this is all mine!

Here, Daddy, look what I found!

And look who took it!

Hmm...

I got this!

Could use some tuning.

Oh, yeah...

... I think it suits me.

Drum tech.

The ghost ferry.

This one's for you, Chris!

I would wear this dress every day if I could!

What do you mean too many socks?

Taking after my mom. :)

Muscles!

I am soooo funny!

Well, aren't I?

Laundry helper.

Uh oh!

UH OH!

Can I help you?

Hugs.

Hugs?

Alli's preschool class took a field trip to the fire station!  Alli cautiously stood inside the ambulance.

She was MUCH more comfortable once everyone left.

In the fire truck!

Honorary fireman.

Hmm... this doesn't look quite right.

This doesn't either!

Happy Halloween!  GO ZAGS!

Cinderella, for the second year in row.

Ready to trick-or-treat!

Trick-or-treating is COLD!

Pitstop.

Alli took such a close inventory that in no way would we dare steal any of it!

That's right!  I check my stash at least every hour!

But I do share it with my closest friends.
