I know, I know, I KNOW I am way behind on this blog, but it is absolutely mind-boggling how busy we are (and yet, it feels like we accomplish nothing!) I think it's taken me exactly this long to realize that's what parenthood means; to-do lists just get longer and longer and longer!
We have had a very busy three months, as you will see when you scroll through the pictures below, followed by more pictures... and even more pictures. Trust me, I had to leave out many, many pictures just to be able to complete this update!
I know I've said it before, but Avery LOVES books. Whether we are upstairs, down in her room, in Alli's room, or in someone else's home, she manages to find the books, climb onto a chair, and look through them over and over.
Dad's family got together for the first time in years. It was nice seeing Grandma and Grandpa!
Four generations!
Hi, Uncle Mike and Uncle Chuck!
Chase kept Great Grandpa entertained with his stories and questions. :)
Uncle Chuck kept Chase and Alli entertained with his silliness! :)
Cousins reunited! We missed you, Mariam!
Rock star!!
Ready for the dance-off!
Who's the rock star, now?
Just making my Costco shopping list.
Daddy has the COOLEST helicopter!
Julian, check out the helicopter!!
Get it, Julian!
Closer!
Closer!!
Yikes, not THAT close!
Breakfast on the floor? Sure.
A little for you...
... and a lot for me!
A very cranky bear....
Just kidding!! That frown can't be faked for long!
Happy Valentine's Day! I scored some great loot at preschool!
Every time I see the camera, I smile BIG!
I am ALWAYS happy upside down!
C'mon, can't you do this?
Oh, it's not that tough.
Look, one leg!
Future artist!
For someone who is ridiculously messy...
... I can be very neat!
Another Picasso.
Ladies and gentlemen, the high chair is GONE (and Mom is very happy)!
Aw.
Aunt MJ is an expert at the Lite Brite.
Sad girl in the corner.
Just kidding, again!!
Uncle Tony came for a visit! Gosh, I haven't seen him since Tiffany's wedding... almost 9 years ago! It was so good to see you, Uncle Tony!
We love Uncle Tony!
We love Uncle Chuck and Aunt Mahvash, too!
Keys? What keys? I don't have your car keys!
Too cool for you!
Silly breakfast!
Silly Avery!
Giggle, giggle, giggle! Too busy giggling to eat breakfast....
... But it's all business when ice cream is involved.
I love Mamo!
Gosh, Gma, your puzzle has a few more pieces than mine.
Aunt Tiffany and Cousin Chase!
Cousin Landon!
Aw.
Once again, we tried to get a decent cousin picture. And we got the typical result!
What?! A good one?! But wait... AVERY, WHERE ARE YOU??
The best cousin picture... of just the girls' cousins!
Mama snuggles!
It must be spring; the sailboat races have begun!
Dance party! I've got the moves...
and she's got the 'tude!
We love going to Auntie Laura's house! She always has such fun things to do, like this Easter craft!
What's not to love about paint in shaving cream?
Mmm... looks good enough to eat! Okay, maybe not.
Coffee date for Mom's birthday! Steamers, lemon bread, and lollipops, oh my!
These kids are naturals in a coffee shop!
I'm getting more and more adventurous (finally)!
Dance party! Go Alli, Go Avery, Go Julian!
Willy love!
Random (awesome) sunset picture. Ah, I love spring!
Alli was invited to Gage's (*gasp* GAGE, her "favorite boy" at preschool!) birthday party at the bowling alley! (Do you think I could get a picture of him? Of course not. He's shy, too!) She was one of a few girls invited to the party with lots of boys, and she wanted to bowl! Woo hoo, Alli!
Psst, Mom, quit embarrassing me!
Oh, yeah, I've got mad skills!
And once again, Alli is STILL eating her cake and ice cream after the others have finished and Gage is opening his presents. Always, always, ALWAYS the last one eating. Always!
Happy Easter!
The Easter Bunny is awesome!!
Nice picture of Alli...
Nice picture of Avery...
... So, naturally, I tried to get a nice picture of them together. Well, let's just say this brief photo shoot went as well as every other time I've tried to get a nice picture of my girls together!
Take 1.
And Take 2.
Take 3. *sigh*
Take 4. Why do I bother?
Session over.
Easter egg hunt at Mamo and Papa and Gma's house!
What's so hard about this?
Alli is off!
Here, Avery, I found one for you!
Chase and Landon were on an egg mission!
Hey, this is fun!
Cousins!
Aunt MJ, I see another egg!
Papa, are you sure I found them all?
Thanks for getting all the spiders, Papa!
We've had some great weather, especially in March!
Grandpa is an expert at coloring!
Drawing on the driveway? This is awesome!
And then the chalk broke.
Don't worry, everyone, Mom won't take so long to update the blog again! She is trying to be better!
